Presentation and Discussion on the
Pharmacological Effects of Marijuana
Boone County Medical Society members are invited to attend the
April 7 General Membership meeting featuring speaker Marcus Iszard, Ph.D., (photo right) who will discuss the pharmacological effects of marijuana/medical marijuana.
The meeting begins with a social at 6 pm at D. Rowe’s, 1005 Club Village Drive. Dinner and the presentation will follow at approximately 6:30 pm. There is no charge for BCMS members to attend and each member may bring one guest.

Mr. Iszard is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology at KCUMB’s Joplin campus. He has a more than 18 years of experience as a professor in the areas of pharmacology, toxicology and therapeutics for clinical/research/investigation courses for pharmacy, medical, dental and nursing professional students.
Additionally, he has provided testimony and has legal deposition experience with state and federal court systems as certified toxicology expert. He also has consulting and court testimony/deposition
experience with the United States Uniformed Code of Military Justice for the United States Army and the Judge Advocate General’s Office.
Mr. Iszard serves as lead consultant and a drug investigator for Iszard Investigational Pharmacology/Toxicology Services LLC.
In this role, he offers consulting and investigation services for law enforcement agencies and private/corporate law firms for criminal or civil legal matters.
