Guest presenter is Patrick White, MD, Director of Palliative Medicine at Washington University. He'll share the presentation, "10 Practical Techniques for Improving Care for Patients with Life-Limiting Illnesses." This presentation is focused on providing practical information for primary care providers and specialists regarding symptom management, communication skills, and psychosocial support for patients with life-limiting illnesses. It will include recent research regarding the treatment of conditions including nausea and depression with a goal to enhance support for patients with life-limiting illnesses. |
