2019 President's Challenge

All BCMS members are encouraged to participate in the 2019 BCMS President's Challenge, initiated by BCMS President Josh Hamann, MD. The goal of the challenge is for our existing members to recruit new BCMS members who want to be active in our Society and our local communities.

Here's how it works:

The BCMS member who brings the most recruits to active membership from Dec. 10, 2018, through June 1, 2019, will be recognized as BCMS's "top recruiter" and will be awared a $250 prize at the June 4, 2019, general membership meeting.

There are a couple of caveats:
  • Qualifying recruits must be NEW members, not members who are simply renewing for 2019.
  • Qualifying recruits must be active physicians, not med-school students, resident physicians or retirees who are not required to pay BCMS dues (though it is a great idea to encourage membership among those who fit those populations!).
  • To be eligible for the prize, each new member you recruited must have paid her/his dues by June 1, 2019.

Remember, we are a unified society with Missouri State Medical Association (MSMA), which means anyone who joins BCMS also must join MSMA.

To recap, the BCMS member who recruits the most new members through June 1, 2019, will be recogznied as our "top recruiter" and will be awarded a $250 prize at our June 4, 2019, meeting.

New members may join by:
  • Visiting the Membership page on our website and completing the online application form (note, you'll be transferred to MSMA's website to complete the online form)
  • Calling the BCMS office at 800-869-6762.
  • Downloading a paper application, completing it, and returning it to the BCMS Office at PO Box 1028, Jefferson City, MO, 65102

Make sure your recruits put your name in the "referred by" line on either the online or paper application so we can give you proper credit.

Or simply contact the BCMS office by phone or email (bcms@socket.net) to report a new recruit.
