
BCMS Hosts Events for Residents, Fellows and
Early-Career Physicians
The Boone County Medical Society is inviting University of Missouri School of Medicine residents and fellows, along with early-career physicians (those who are in their first five years of practice) and their spouses/partners, to attend a series of free seminars designed to provide practical information to help physicians in their personal lives and professional careers. An RSVP is required (scroll down for forms).
The first session, "Start Smart," was held Tuesday, March 19; the second, "Be Prepared" was held April 2.
The third session, "Think Ahead," is 6 p.m.-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, in the Medical Sciences Building (Acuff Auditorium, MA 217). Guest speakers Robert Doroghazi, MD, author of "The Physician's Guide to Investing"; Marsha Fifer, Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor at Central Investment Advisors at Central Bank; and Jeff Echelmeier, CPA, Williams Keepers LLC. They will focus on Investing, Saving for Retirement and IRS Implications for the New Physician. The RSVP deadline for this session is Friday, April 12.
